Jain Lemos

Jain Lemos is a writer who knows the worth of pictures. As a photography consultant based in Southern California, she brings more than twenty years of deep involvement in all aspects of licensing, publishing and promoting professional photography to the table. Jain has worn many hats-from writer and senior editor to agent, production manager and book packager-working with top creative teams at Harper Collins, Chronicle Books, the National Geographic Society and Pearson. As managing editor of James Cameron's Titanic, Jain was thoroughly involved in the creation of this New York Times No. 1 bestselling title. Over the years, Jain has edited and guided the production of dozens of other well-received documentary photograph books, including SeinOff: The Final Days of Seinfeld, and The Making of Evita. On the stock scene, she launched and managed for four years the web-based Lonely Planet Images agency as their American marketing director. Jain's articles and book reviews appear in numerous national newspapers and trade journals, including PhotoMedia and the Los Angeles Times. Her writing and editorial skills are uniquely informed about her subject of expertise. She is also a frequent speaker and portfolio reviewer at industry conferences and consults with agencies and creatives on the artistic process and the art of the deal. Jain is a member of the Authors Guild and a member of the advisory council of PLUS (Picture Licensing Universal System). She is a former board member and past education chairperson of ASPP (The American Society of Picture Professionals).
