iSyndica releases video syndication tool for microstock distributioniSyndica, a cloud-based digital media distribution platform based in Nashua NH, has built a business allowing mictrostock photographers to submit images to their site to be automatically distributed to multiple microstock sites. The business has just announced that I has developed a similar virtual-distribution server for video syndication. With iSyndica, users upload their content once and then choose the channels over which they want to distribute it.

Currently iSyndica Photos supports sales on more than 20 microstock agencies and the company has stated that it will soon extend syndication to Flickr, Facebook and other social networking sites. iSyndica Videos will initially support six channels, with an option allowing users to add additional, specific channels on their own. This option also is available on iSyndica Photos for stock photography sellers.

Seb Coursol, CTO of iSyndica, says “iSyndica Videos is an easy and logical extension to the market of stock photography, particularly as Web advertisers continue to migrate to video ads. A few years ago, advertisers universally utilized static images or crude animated gifs. Now, these same advertisers are rushing to include richer video media. As a result, the market for stock footage is going crazy.”

iSyndica hopes to capitalize on that trend, and some users are already benefiting. Freelance photographer and iSyndica user Katrina Brown has increased her photography revenue by 20 percent since subscribing to iSyndica. Katrina’s videos, 30-second clips in high definition, can be as large as 400MB. She finds video syndication “great. Once I uploaded at iSyndica, my videos were at the other sites within half an hour. That would have taken me days to do.” Katrina now has additional time to keyword, edit and ultimately shoot more photos and videos, benefits that will enable her to further increase her revenue.
