Featured New Artist: Ramsay de Give

Growing up in Santa Fe, New Mexico Ramsay started to engage himself with photography when he was in high school.  A couple days spent in a darkroom and he was hooked.  He considers himself lucky to have found his calling at such an early age, in the beginning he was very interested in photographing people. “I found it to be an accurate expression of truth, something that was difficult to achieve in other forms.  I understood from day one that photography possessed a special ability to relay truth; a testament to human experience.” This led him to study visual journalism at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, California.

These images represent his current photographic vision.  “I’m quite curious about everyday life, and often graphic items catch my eye.  Conveying emotion is very important as well. Photography is a voice: a means to express ones self, to translate what they see, and to communicate and educate via visual thoughts and emotions.”
