Lebrecht photo library launches authorpictures.co.uk
The Lebrecht photo library, a specialist library from the UK featuring music and art related imagery, has announced the launch of a new website featuring photos and illustrations related to authors and literature. The new site located at authorpictures.co.uk contains a comprehensive collection including thousands of images of authors and their works including novelists, historians, poets, politicians, playwrights and philosophers.
The company further explains in a recent press release ”we aim to provide comprehensive coverage of authors’ lives - family, friends, domestic locations and stage and film productions of their works. We also have images of book production through the ages, decorative items, illustrated covers of important first editions and episodes from literary history”. The collection spans Egyptian hieroglyphics to Zadie Smith’s latest photoshoot, from Enlightenment poets to the current bestseller list”.
